On the afternoon of January 30, Beijing Municipal Health Commission Director Liu Juncai brought a team to Beijing United Family Hospital to see how the hospital has developed over its 27 years of service in the city, check on the status of the Beijing United Family International Hospital (to be built soon), and provide guidance on pre-holiday safety measures. Hospital President Pan Zhongying and New Frontier Vice President Ding Tianyao welcomed Liu and held a related discussion.
Liu stressed that the international hospital is one of the key projects from the 26th Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium and a high priority for municipal officials. She said that the project will further help improve infrastructure for Beijing’s “four centers and two zones.” She then listened to details on progress being made on the new hospital project, including challenges and problems, and learned of the next major step.
With the acceleration of urbanization and population aging, people’s need for outstanding medical resources is continually growing, and United Family Healthcare will accordingly hold to its international medical service standards and concepts while sparing no effort on building the new hospital, which will be research-oriented and an international medical education base, contributing to the high-quality development of the nation’s capital.
